Both Ian and Glenda are decendants of Otago's original settlers and have lived in the region all their lives. Ian has a sheep farming background and owns a sheep station to the south of Dunedin. Glenda and Ian also have business interests in property and forestry. Both have travelled extensively and take a lively interest in travel experiences. Ian's other interest is motor rallying, having competed in New Zealand National and International rallies over the last 30 years. With Glenda as co-driver, they still compete in classic events every year.
